Just a few months ago I went to the dentist for a tooth ache and of course I had to have a root canal. Well I was fitted for a crown and the first did not fit so he sent it back and the second one was ok but when he cemented it it moved so he had to crack it from my mouth. It sounded like he was breaking all the teeteh in my mouth Yuck. But the third time ws the charm and now I have a crown and a $2000 dentist bill. Yuck

Well lets see....one year I took my husband in to have his wisdom teeth removed. Well Dr's did the procedure and everything went well. He had to be put under since they had to do some minor surgery...so when he woke up he was extremely groggy and to be simple with it, he was KNOCKED OUT! He tried to make conversation but just wasn't making since.

I finally get him to the car and get him in his seatbealt and we are getting ready to drive off. He suddenly jumps up, and yells out, "Where's my teeth! I want my teeth!" I said...."Seriously?", he said, "YES! Seriously! DO you have them babe?", I proceed..."No, babe, they didn't give them to me...", he pleads..."Babe, can you please go back and get them for me? Please?"...I am thinking to myself...he can't be serious...but I think he was. So...I went back in and gave them all a good laugh. They were able to give at least 2 of them to me as the others were broke in the process....GROSS I know! We laugh about that till this day!

when i was in high school, i had my wisdom teeth removed. i was in bed, groggy, recovering...when the BOY I LIKED (but we weren't really bf/gf) came to the door to see if i was ok (very sweet). my dad let him IN MY ROOM to visit. needless to say, with my mouth full of cotton, my wookie-sized bed head and lack of decent clothing alarmed him, as i don't think i ever really saw him again looking at me. thanks, dad.

This is a very long story....When I was 17 our family dentist retired and left his patients to a much younger dentest. I went in for a check up and they took x-rays. Well he came back to say that my wisdom teeth were coming in the wrong way and they were infected...he proceeded to take this TOOL that was huge and didn't look like it belonged in a dental office, to my mouth and tried to pry one of the teeth out. I had given me a shot to numb it (11 by the time he was done) but I could feel the pain...he kept yelling at me to stop crying, that I wasn't a baby. I was crying for my mom to help me and they wouldn't let her in. Finally the guy gave up as I couldn't comtrol my crying from the pain. It felt like my jaw was being pried apart. My mom made an appointment with an oral surgeon. When he looked at my x-rays he said that our dentist had NO right to try and do that himself. It took me over 15 years to go back to a dentist. In those 15 years I had some tremendous pain from my teeth but the fear I had at just the thought of going to a dentist was greater then the pain. A couple months before I got married I was at my fiances for the weekend and ended up with a very swallen mouth and unbearable pain. He had to drive me home (3 hours) and have someone follow us in his car to get back home. My mom took me ( I was living with her at the time and couldn't drive) to a dentist and I told them how bad my mouth will be from not going to a dentist for so long...they were surprised it wasn't worse after so many years. They said they couldn't do anything until the infection and swelling was gone..they gave me some pain pills and antibiotics..I told them that I would probably not be back. But I did go back...they made me feel so comfortable and were so nice. And I thought..hey I have dental insurance I may as well use it as I wasn't going to have it after I got married!..LOL

When Zach & I got married he finally had dental insurance for the first time in about 15 years. So needless to say he hadn't been to the dentist. I'm not quite sure how I convinced him to go, but he did. His teeth needed such a deep cleaning that he had to go to 2 visits! The funny part is that he was about 27 at the time, made me go with him to hold his hand AND had to get topical novacaine so the scraping wouldn't hurt. THis is a guy that isn't hurt easily. He asked the hygeniest if coming regularly would spare him from the pain he'd gone through and her promise of yes has made him a regular visitor to their office.

Okay this is weird but my best tooth memory is when I was in 1st grade and I tried hard as heck to get a loose tooth to come out. My family teased me about tying a string to the door knob 3 Stooges style! So I was in P.E. (hated it!!!) and we were playing the wonderful game of dodgeball (NOT) when the ball hit me in the face. I got a black eye but hey, that tooth came out!!!!
